GATE Analysis 2014

Graduate  Aptitude  Test  in  Engineering  (GATE) is  a  national  level  examination  that  tests  the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. The GATE score is used for admissions to post-graduate programs (eg. M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian institutes of higher education with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies.  The score is also used by many Public Sector Undertakings for employment screening purposes.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administer the conduct of GATE. Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is the Organizing Institute for GATE 2014. The GATE 2014 results are released on 27th March 2014 at 21:30 hrs. The candidates can access the results by logging onto the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website.

For the first time, the 3-hour GATE 2014 examination was conducted in computer based ONLINE mode for all the 22 papers. The examination was conducted in over 660 centres spread over 26 states and union territories of the country.

"THE GATE ACADEMY course content was well organized which gave me a direction to start with. It was easy to cover large number of topics in small amount of time. Mock Test questions were really well planned with a mix of easy, moderate and difficult questions which gave a feeling of actual GATE. I would suggest all aspirants to start early as more and more PSU’s are recruiting through GATE which would increase the competition. "
